LA Chapter Named Outstanding Volunteer Organization

American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles was recently named Outstanding Volunteer Organization for National Philanthropy Day Los Angeles 2008. The award will be presented at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on November 12 before an audience of over 600 community and philanthropic leaders.Established in 1985 and authorized by President Reagan and the US Congress, National Philanthropy Day is designed to recognize significant contributions of philanthropy by people and organizations worldwide. The day celebrates the contributions of time, talent and treasure that shape numerous nonprofit entities.
