Responding to emergencies:
- 345 responses to local disaster incidents
- 354 families received disaster assistance
- $198,503 provided for emergency lodging & rental assistance
- 425,798 total provided by chapter for disaster relief (including rent & lodging)
- $3,884,000 total cost of emergency response Red Cross members unload a supply van
Increasing health, safety, & community disaster preparedness:
- 109,777 persons trained in CPR, first aid, aquatics, & water safety
- 1,254 persons took California Child Care, Care Giving, Nurse Assistance
Training, HIV/AIDS classes, & babysitter training
- 11,477 nurse assistant certification tests administered
- 10,698 pieces of disaster education materials distributed
- 5,402 persons received community disaster education
Assisting with personal emergencies:
- 1,520 emergency services provided to armed forces & their families
- 282 National Guardsmen & family members receiving deployment briefings
- 159 international family services provided
Providing opportunities to serve & support:
- 3,162 instructors authorized to teach Red Cross courses
- 413 youths volunteered (18 years & younger)
- 494 young adults volunteered (19-24)
- 242 seniors volunteered (65 & older)
- 2,985 total volunteers provided service to the community
- 20,865 individuals & organizations donated funds to support the chapter
